Levels and attribute points
Your character level comes from total experience, and every level brings attribute points you spend wherever you choose.
Character level
Everything you do earns experience, and your total experience sets your character level. Your level belongs to your character, not to a class: it doesn’t reset when your main class changes, and it doesn’t depend on mastery.
Your level matters for two things:
- the attribute points you earn, and
- the number of mastery slots you can fill.
Attribute points
Levelling up grants attribute points, and higher levels grant more per level. You spend them in the character window on any attribute you like, except the locked ones.
- No slowdown. Points add their full value, unlike normal growth, which slows down as an attribute rises.
- A cap per attribute. You can’t pour every point into one attribute: the most you can put into a single attribute grows with the total points you’ve earned.
