Diplomacy is the art of the deal and the truce: reading what the other side needs, and finding the words that end a conflict or win an ally.
It has no direct effect on combat stats. Its weight is in class requirements: it’s one of the most widely required social attributes, and tacticians, bards and inquisitors lean on it most.
